Sleeping up to 24 guests Langdon Court is a new style of country house hotel that has been designed solely for exclusive use. Renting this private hotel includes the wonderful historic gardens along with a wealth of rooms to enjoy and entertain in, for chilling out there is a private cinema and tranquil gardens while relaxation is guaranteed in the divinely comfortable rooms. Whatever you want on top we can arrange and our house can be yours for a night, a weekend, a week or even a month.
Country house parties for friends & families
Extraordinary cuisine is one of our signatures and our multi-award winning chef Jamie Rogers, whose Twenty-Seven restaurant in Kingsbridge is one of the most sought after dining experiences in Devon, is on hand to create menus styled to your party. Gastronomic dinners at the long communal table, culinary creativity at the chef’s table in the kitchen, ’ al fresco’ in the walled garden or hop in our vintage Mini Moke with a picnic to the nearby beach – formal to casual we do it all.
Our approach to the drinks is equally innovative as you can design your own bar and wine list, with no extra charges from us. If you need us to source anything or would like advice our expert team are always on hand to help.
Shooting parties
Our south Devon setting is one of the most renowned areas for country pursuits making us ideally placed for shooting parties for the nearby estates. Whether in a syndicate or a group of friends we have exactly what you need making us the perfect base for your party. A full English breakfast before your day begins and when you return for tea by the warming fires before your evening celebrations. Dinner will be a particularly stylish affair with a bespoke menu inspired by locally sourced ingredients such as game and exceptional seafood accompanied by your personally chosen drinks and wine selection.
For those not heading out to the shoot there are a wealth of places to visit in the local area, whether antiquing, exploring the coast or perhaps taking in Salcombe as this part of Devon is a joy to discover. Then head back to Langdon Court and enjoy that sense of timeless hospitality from a bygone age.
Weddings
There is something rather magical about getting married at Langdon Court. Our 16th century manor house and gardens are a gorgeously romantic place for your special day. The setting is the perfect backdrop for ceremonies large and small. Unparalleled views abound, there are special touches everywhere and always with our signature exclusivity.
We have chosen to host only a select number of weddings each year with July being our month to set up a beautiful marquee within the grounds so we can host larger parties for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. We also have a wealth of more intimate settings for smaller parties. Langdon Court is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and for wedding parties wishing to stay we can sleep up to 24 guests. Everything will be bespoke, tailored to your vision and styled for your celebration.

There is plenty of space inside and out for every type of event and meeting, while the secluded setting ensures absolute privacy.
A highlight is the exceptional dining, there are no set menus here, it is designed just for you whether formal dinners, a picnic on the beach or at the chef’s table, Langdon Court celebrates good seasonal food. For those staying overnight our luxurious rooms mix period features with contemporary styling and our abundant art collection is a must-see.
